Contribute
Anyone can contribute to the DWP Design System by suggesting changes, sharing research insights or proposing a new component or pattern.
We use GitHub discussions to manage contributions, so you will need a GitHub account. If you can’t use GitHub or want to share your work privately, you can email the team on design-system-team@engineering.digital.dwp.gov.uk.
Contribute to an existing pattern
If you use any Design System pattern or component, let us know so that we can keep learning and improving.
Every pattern and component has a link to its own GitHub discussion. To contribute, add a comment to the relevant discussion with your research insights, suggested changes or screenshots of the pattern in use.
Suggest a new pattern
To suggest a new pattern or component, email the Design System team. Tell us:
- the user need it meets
- why it might be reusable
- if you have seen a similar thing elsewhere
DWP Design Examples
DWP Design Examples (DWP users only) is a reference tool run by and for the DWP Interaction Design community. It includes interaction flows, components and patterns designers across DWP are working on to help solve user needs. Each design includes examples of its use and any research that has been gathered.
